Immigration Assessment
Express Entry

Express Entry

This system was specifically created to manage applications from skilled workers applying for permanent residency in Canada. This process, like others in Canada, is paper-intensive and document-heavy and comes with rules and eligibility criteria to just be qualified for it.

You require documents, language test scores, forms, proof of funds and etc. Within the Express Entry itself, there are programs that individuals can apply for. Each of these programs holds their own eligibility criteria. This can be quite overwhelming.

Please contact Esna Law PC today if this is the stream through which you wish to apply. We will take the time to sit down with you, calculate your eligibility for various programs, and make sure that everything uploaded is prepared as per our standards.

Provincial Nominee Programs

Each province in Canada has specific streams that immigrants can fall into. Each comes with its own requirements and set of rules and regulations. There are students, business people, skilled workers, and semi-skilled workers. These are designed to apply to people who:

  • Want to live in a specific province in Canada.
  • Want to eventually become a permanent resident of Canada.
  • Have the necessary education, skills, and work experience to be an upstanding, contributing member of society in the province or territory.

There are two ways of applying under this program; paper-based or Express Entry. Both paths during this program are paper-heavy and fairly difficult to navigate. Esna Law PC can help you or your loved ones figure this out while meeting all the requirements, to ensure a successful transition to the province of your choice.

If you are an artist, athlete or someone with experience in these two areas, you may qualify for permanent residence in Canada. The following are the general criteria for this program:

  • Have relevant experience.
  • Meet the medical criteria of the application.
  • Meet the security conditions.
  • Have the intent of being self-employed in Canada.
  • Meet this specific program selection criteria.

You must also bring with you relevant experience to your field such as cultural activities or have self-employment experience with cultural experience. There is a fair number of criteria to be considered eligible for this application, and you need to ensure your application is adequately supported with the appropriate documentation. At Esna Law PC, we assess your application carefully from the outset to ensure you qualify for the program and then help you submit a complete, well-rounded application.

Canadian Experience Class

Through the Canadian Experience Class program (“CEC”) a skilled worker with experience in Canada may be eligible to apply for permanent residency. This class only applies to people who are skilled workers with Canadian work experience. At Esna Law PC, we assess your application and the likelihood of being selected under the CEC program, upload your online profile, and once your Invitation to Apply is received, we prepare your full permanent residency application package. There are a few hurdles to overcome with these applications, but Esna Law PC can help those struggling with understanding the requirements of these processes. Please note, that there are education, language, admissibility, and various other requirements to have met to qualify for this class.

Humanitarian & Compassionate application

Humanitarian and Compassionate (“H&C”) application for permanent residency in Canada allows foreign nationals to seek permanent resident status, despite not meeting the criteria of regular immigration programs. Examples of situations that may warrant an “H&C” application include compelling medical conditions, family ties in Canada, or risks of significant hardship if forced to leave.

To apply, individuals must submit a comprehensive application outlining their personal circumstances and providing supporting documentation. Decision-makers evaluate each case on a discretionary basis, considering factors such as the applicant’s establishment in Canada, the best interests of any involved children, and the hardships upon return. If the application is successful, the applicant may be granted permanent resident status, allowing them to reside and work in Canada on a long-term basis.
